Amanda Battles is a writer and director from the south side of Chicago. She began her storytelling career over a decade ago, on the campus of Florida A & M University, where she cultivated her skills in leadership, coalition building and creative consulting. She worked in the non-profit sector, creating digital campaigns to solve society’s toughest issues. Amanda founded House of Battles, a social impact agency that champions the messages of the most influential changemakers of our time.
Film eventually became a beacon for sharing powerful messages. Activism through storytelling has always been at the core of Amanda’s work in making a difference. She developed a fascination with timeless moving portraits showcasing humanity’s paradoxical nature. Her unique writing style unveiled the complexity of diverse characters facing paranormal social horrors in hidden worlds.
Amanda seeks to elevate narratives of Black Americans in drama, science fiction, horror and psychological thrillers through her cinematic art.
